PLACES Conference 2024
From the Washington Trust for Historic Preservation
When: October 16-18, 2023
Where: Marcus Whitman Hotel, Walla Walla, WA
Join us for an interactive walking tour that navigates the stories of Latinx immigrants living in the Walla Walla Valley. Participants will hear stories – both in person and recorded – from community members Estela Muro, Erika Silva, Gustavo Reyna, and Guillermo Corro, walking with them through the struggles and demands that members of our Walla Walla community face day by day. Moments for reflection, dialogue, and exchange will be provided along the way. Professional language interpretation is provided for live stories. Please bring a smartphone and headphones to experience recorded stories. This three-hour walking tour will cover 1.6 miles.
