Abby Muro cares deeply about people and their stories. Abby is the daughter of immigrants, and her family’s experiences shaped how she understands community and belonging. Growing up, she saw both the strength of immigrant families and the barriers they often face. These experiences inspired her to work toward fairness, dignity, and opportunity for all. She believes everyone deserves to feel safe, respected, and heard in the place they call home.

Listening is at the heart of Abby’s work. She believes real change begins when people take time to hear one another, especially voices that are often ignored. Abby focuses on building trust, strengthening relationships, and supporting families as they navigate daily challenges.

She is deeply connected to Walla Walla and sees her work as a way of giving back to the community that raised her. Through care, collaboration, and listening, Abby helps build a more welcoming place for everyone. Abby Muro is the Executive Director of the Walla Walla Immigrant Rights Coalition.
